Cafépoint were asked to look at the hot drink offering and in turn come up with ways to improve the sales of coffee. The current coffee was instant coffee served in a white 12oz polystyrene cup.

The objective was to lift sales by offering a good quality, fresh milk machine that can produce two milk drinks at the same time to reduce the number of customers waiting for their beverage.

The Cafépoint sales consultant walked the area to see what the competitors were offering. He came to the conclusion the village was lacking a good quality coffee brand for the potential customers to take advantage of.

Cafépoint recommended a complete overhaul of the hot drink experience at Preston’s Bakery. The recommendation was as follows;

Introduce a brand, the suggested brand was Douwe Egberts

For the tables:

Cafépoint came up with a menu of basic bean to coffee drinks as well as a range of speciality drinks.

The Jura Giga X8c fresh milk machine was their chosen equipment after a demonstration.

For the wall Menu’s:

  • Significant uplift in coffee sales volumes.
  • Increased profitability.
  • Increase in footfall sales.
  • Better quality all round, with the introduction of branded cups with double walls.
  • Branded beans, from a company that has been blending beans since 1753.
